·         Waltye Rasulala, Board President/Chair

         Former WRAL Public Affairs Director/Anchor and Emmy Award-Winning Producer. Retired Minister of Music- Church of the Nativity and active volunteer with multiple arts organizations in North Carolina. Raleigh Medal of Arts recipient. Broadway Performer in Musical Theater productions, as well as choir member with NY Philharmonic and Philadelphia Orchestra. Former Public Affairs Manager and Producer/Anchor of Public Affairs broadcast program. Westminster Choir College undergraduate and graduate degrees in voice and choral conducting.

 

·         Ram Vedantham, Treasurer

Director of Anti-Money Laundering Division-Silicon Valley Bank. Formerly with Wells Fargo and Environmental Protection Agency (Research Scientist). Originally from Chennai, India. Graduate degree in Applied Mathematics from University of California at Davis.

 

·         Rebecca Christian, Secretary

Former Senior Vice-President of Strategic and Community Services with Wake Med, recipient of YWCA’s Academy of Women Award  (2004), Triangle’s Top 25 Women in Business Award (1999), Purdue University’s School of Consumer Service Distinguished Alumni Award (1994). Degrees from Purdue and Ohio Universities.

 

·         Elizabeth Beilman, Executive Director

Associate Principal Cellist, North Carolina Symphony, Founding Co-Director of NCCMI, Former Director of Lamar Stringfield Music Camp Honors Division (Chamber Music), Co-Founder of Chamber Ensemble Aurora Musicalis with husband Jimmy Gilmore. Bachelors and Masters in Music (Performance) Indiana University School of Music (cum laude).

 

·         Jimmy Gilmore, Assistant Executive Director

Principal Clarinet, retired- North Carolina Symphony, Formerly on Development Staff for NC Symphony, Co-Founder of Chamber Ensemble Aurora Musicalis, Founding Co-Director of NCCMI, On Faculty of Duke University and Meredith College. Bachelors of Music-Eastman School of Music, Masters of Music-Juilliard School of Music

 

·         Lawrence Block, Trustee

Vice-President Arioso Strings, Founder of Advanced Cary Inc. and President of the LandTrust Group, Former Vice-President of Commercial/Industrial Division and Director of Property Sales of Arvida Corporation, Boca Raton, Florida. Served on Town of Cary Zoning Board. Educated at the Wharton School-University of Pennsylvania (MBA) and Cornell University (BS)

 

·         Kristin Hess , Trustee

  Principal, CEO HH Architecture named Firm of the Year (2017) by the Triangle chapter of the American Institute   of Architects, Gold Award Girl Scout, 2016 Zhi-Xing China Eisenhower Fellowship, 2011 Marshall Memorial Fellowship. Recipient of Women in Business Lifetime Award (Triangle Business Journal). Graduate of NC State University.

 

·         Robert Monath, Trustee

        Intellectual Property Attorney. Focus on the music and publishing industry with clients ranging from Sony Music and Simon & Shuster to director Oliver Stone (Nixon). Based in Raleigh, his firm has developed an impressive array of clients, including the N. C. League of Municipalities, SAS Institute, Grubb Properties and the City of Raleigh.

 

·         Florence Peacock, Trustee

Soprano and former President- Chapel Hill Music Teachers Association, Board member of partner organizations North Carolina Symphony and North Carolina Opera, long-time arts supporter and volunteer. Masters in Music-Yale University.

 

·         Mei Thai, Trustee

Musician and Music Teacher, Born in Taiwan and graduate of Tunghai University where she was principal clarinet for 4 years. Doctoral degree from University of Maryland-Peabody Music Conservatory. Concerto soloist at the Kennedy Center with Asian American Symphonic Orchestra.  Also a licensed real estate agent.
